Mentors3 will connect our community by matching 50 students in grades 7-12 with both a business mentor and peer mentor from the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) program between Delphos City Schools and Delphos St. John's. Students will be matched with a business mentor in their career of interest and identify a problem. Going beyond simply job shadowing, students will develop a deep level of engagement by working together alongside the business mentor to create their own SMART goals to solve the identified problem. The 1:1:1 triangular mentorship program (TEAM) will meet a minimum of 4 hours per month and participate in progress meetings and end of the year banquet to share their achievements and learn from each other's experiences. Mentors will receive training to help their mentees develop the necessary hard and soft skills required to solve their problem, and students will gain confidence and a sense of value by helping to solve the problems in our Delphos community.
